One of the most useful things there is: drop a long text into an AI and have it pull out exactly what you need. Contracts, PDFs, meeting transcripts, email threads.
What you can put into it
Either you paste the text into the box, or you upload a file (PDF, Word) - the paid tiers handle attachments. Meeting transcripts, long email threads, quotes and contracts all work well.
What to do with it
- Summarise this into 5 bullet points so I do not have to read all of it.
- Pull out the tasks and the deadlines (who, what, by when).
- Find the risks and the unusual terms in a contract.
- Answer the question: "Is there anything in here about a notice period?"
- Turn this into a table, or rewrite it more simply.
A few tricks that make the difference
- Confine it to the text: "Answer only from the attached document, do not invent anything." This cuts hallucinations dramatically.
- Have it cite: "For each point, say which section it comes from." That makes it easy to verify.
- Long documents in chunks - the context window has a limit, so feed it in portions.
Mind the privacy
Anonymise sensitive documents (contracts, personal data) first, or use a business tier where data is not used for training. The detail is in the lesson on privacy in the basics course.
Stop wading through long documents. Have just what you actually need pulled out of them.
