Recipe: AI that sorts and answers your email

An automation that reads incoming email, files it and drafts a reply. Your inbox almost keeps itself - you just review and send.

What it does

  1. A new email arrives.
  2. The AI reads and files it - an enquiry, an invoice, a question, spam.
  3. For enquiries and questions prepares a draft reply into your drafts.
  4. You get a short summaryof what happened.

Why you want it

Email can eat half a day. This automation does the dirty work (reading, sorting, a first draft) and leaves you only the part that matters: decide and send.

How it is put together

The trigger is a new email (Gmail). An AI node with a prompt classifies it, and based on the result the workflow branches, and for the messages that matter a draft reply appears. The quality stands or falls with the prompt - see prompting course.

What to watch out for

At least at the start, have a person approve the replies - so the automation does not send out nonsense. And mind the privacy: what flows into the AI (see lesson on data).

The goal is not for AI to answer on your behalf. The goal is that instead of an hour of sorting you only deal with the emails that really need you.

Drowning in email?

I will build the sorting and the draft replies to fit your own inbox. Tell me which emails you deal with most.
