A website for a cafe: what it looks like and what goes into it

A good cafe sells on atmosphere. A cafe website has to carry that atmosphere onto the screen - and at the same time tell people quickly where you are, when you are open and why they should come to you.

Most cafes today live on Instagram and Google Maps. That is fine, but it is borrowed ground - an algorithm decides who sees your post, and guests often end up at the competition because they could not find your opening hours or your menu. Your own website fixes that: it is the one place you control and that represents you 24/7.

What a cafe website should contain

You do not need a big online shop. For a cafe, a clean one-pager page where a guest finds everything that matters within seconds:

  • The atmosphere - big, good photos of the interior, the coffee and the desserts. That is 80 % of the decision.
  • The opening hours and the address with a link to maps.
  • The menu - coffee, desserts, breakfast; a taste of it is fine, it does not have to be the full price list.
  • Contact - phone, email, a link to Instagram.
  • Optionally table booking or an invitation to events.

The key is speed and mobile - most guests open the site on a phone on their way to you. It has to load instantly and look great on a small screen.

Real examples

These are exactly the sites I build. The latest one is live: Mana Caffè - a cosy cafe with a touch of Art Deco in Pilsen. A one-page site with a gallery, the menu and online table booking, built from its own photos and atmosphere rather than a bought template.

I built sites for Coffee Park, Kavárna K and a cat cafe the same way - each with its own character, taken from the brand. You can look at them in the portfolio on the Websites page.

A custom design around your brand - from your photos and your atmosphere, not another template off the internet.

How it goes - and why within 24 hours

I do not work like an agency where a website waits in a queue for weeks. I take one project at a time and work on it in one go:

  1. Brief - a short call: what you need, your materials, your photos.
  2. Design - I build the design and the structure around your brand.
  3. Website - I code the whole responsive one-pager.
  4. Live - we fine-tune the details, I put it live on your domain and sort the hosting.

From brief to finished site I get it done within 24 hours. I write the copy and lay out the sections for you - you just supply the photos and a few details.

What it costs

I build a done-for-you one-page website for a one-off 9,900 CZK (~€400), plus hosting with a domain and small tweaks for 300 CZK a month (or 3,000 CZK a year). No hidden items. And above all: you do not pay until you are happy. I write more about pricing in the article How much a custom website costs.
